Time of Flight technology for automatic door solutions

Time of Flight technology enhances access security systems by providing accurate 3D imaging access security purposes such as anti piggybacking and anti tailgating, thus improving security and user experience.

How It Works

Time of Flight sensors can accurately calculate the distance from the sensor to an object by measuring and converting the time it takes laser light emitted from the emitter element to reflect off an object and return (i.e., time of flight).

Unique algorithms are used to detect only humans and vehicles from the three parameters of an object's size, movement distance, and movement speed. This results in reliably excluding factors that cause false detection due to operating environment conditions such as small animals, swaying vegetation, rain, fog, and snow.

Advantages

High Accuracy
Provides detailed 3D images, improving recognition accuracy and reducing false positives/negatives.

Speed
Quick data acquisition and processing enable real-time security checks.

Enhanced Security
Better liveness detection and resistance to spoofing.

Environment Resilience
Infrared light used in ToF is less affected by lighting conditions, making it reliable in diverse environments.
